Elena Salova

Elena Salova has over 10 years of professional experience in data science, equity trading, and sales. In 2021, they co-founded ControlRooms.ai and began working as a Senior Data Scientist at Splice Machine, where they built an MVP for a multivariate real-time anomaly detection system for time-series data from zero to production deployment in 5 months. From 2018-2021, they were a Senior Data Scientist at Hitachi Vantara, where they supported software pre-sales and advised EMEA clients on machine learning and data science solutions. From 2013-2018, they worked as an Equity Trader and Assistant Vice President at Citi, managing trading books, executing client orders, and trading stocks on Moscow and London Stock Exchanges. In 2012, they were a Senior Specialist in Sales, Trading, and Logistics at TNK BP, supporting gasoline trading and managing distribution planning for 140 clients across Russia. Elena also held roles as an Equity Sales and Trading Intern at Citi and a Technical Assistant at New Economic School in 2012, and a Researcher/Programmer at a Research Center in 2009.

Elena Salova has a diverse educational background. Elena obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computational Biology from the Center for Theoretical problems of Physico-Chemical Pharmacology from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that they obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from the New Economic School from 2010 to 2012. Elena also obtained a Certified Specialist in Biophysics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 2005 to 2011 and attended the Special educational scientific center of MSU from 2004 to 2005. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Convolutional Neural Networks, Sequence Models, Deep Learning, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Machine Learning by Stanford University. Elena also has obtained an ACI Dealing Certificate, a CISI level 3 Certificate in Securities, FSFR 1.0, and FSFR 5.0.
