Loretta Jones

Loretta Jones has extensive experience in human resources, starting in 1997 at Investec as an HR Business Partner. Loretta then moved on to Silica, a subsidiary of Investec Asset Management, where they held the roles of Head of Human Resources and later Executive Director of Human Resources. In these positions, Loretta was responsible for implementing and managing HR policies and processes while partnering with the CEO and executive committee. Loretta also led a team of 16 HR and L&D professionals. After their time at Silica, Loretta worked at Verisk as a Senior HR Project Manager, collaborating with senior HR business partners on M&A activities and strategic HR projects. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Global Human Resources Business Partner at Convera.

Loretta Jones has a diverse education history. In 2012, they attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where they completed the Advanced Development Programme in Leadership Development. From 1999 to 2002, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Wales, Cardiff. In 2016, they furthered their education at the Institute of Directors (IoD), completing the Becoming a Director Level 1-4 program in Organizational Leadership. In 2010, they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Organizational Development from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Loretta also holds a CIS qualification from SAICA, which they obtained in 1998. In 1996, they completed their B-Tech Corporate Administration at the University of Johannesburg, and from 1993 to 1995, they obtained a ND Company Administration from the same university. Additionally, they hold various certifications, including Mentorship Membership from Women in Payments and Prosci Change Management Certified Practitioner from CMC Partnership Global, both obtained in 2023. Loretta obtained their CIPD certification from CIPD Qualifications in 2021. Lastly, in 2006, they became a Results Certified Executive Coach through Results Coaching Systems SA powered by NeuroLeadership Institute.
