Michael Collins

Michael Collins has a strong background in credit risk management and financial services. Michael is currently working as the Global Head of Credit Risk at Convera since July 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Credit Risk at Western Union International Bank GmbH from March 2021 to July 2023. Michael also held the position of Director at RBS / National Westminster Bank from June 2010 to March 2021, where they were responsible for credit risk and capital management in various sectors. Before that, they worked as a Senior Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from August 2001 to June 2010, managing a European portfolio worth $6Bn. Michael started their career at Barclays Bank as a Junior/Analyst from August 1985 to May 1990 before moving on to Barclays Capital as a Senior Credit Risk Analyst in the Lloyds of London Corporate Banking Team. Additionally, they worked as a Credit Risk Manager at Bayerische Landesbank from June 1997 to July 2001. Overall, Michael Collins has extensive experience in credit risk management and has held key positions in major financial institutions throughout their career.

Michael Collins studied Banking and Financial Support Services at the University of Greenwich. Michael obtained an Associated Chartered Institute of Bankers degree from the university. Additionally, they received certification in Body Language for Leaders from LinkedIn in 2019.
