Petrina Astbury

Petrina Astbury is the current Executive Director of People, Culture & Learning at Converge International. Petrina has over 15 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic HR management and employee relations.

Petrina began their career in 2005 as an HR Manager with Accenture HR Services, where they served as the primary contact for all HR services delivered to the Department of Premier and Cabinet and its Portfolio Agencies. In this role, they led a team of Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance Management, and Occupational Health and Safety professionals.

In 2008, Petrina joined ASIC as their Senior HR Business Relationship Manager. In this role, they were responsible for providing quality strategic and consultative support to the business by implementing people strategies and practices that were aligned to business objectives. Petrina also led a team of seven HR Relationship Managers nationally and provided high-level HR support to senior stakeholders.

Petrina has been with Converge International since 2011, where they currently serve as their Executive Director of People, Culture & Learning. In this role, they are responsible for leading the company's initiatives around employee engagement, culture, learning and development, and Talent Management.

Petrina Astbury has completed a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from Victoria University, a Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from Monash University.
