George Gainer is currently the CPA Global Head Client Management at Convergence. Prior to this, they were with Gravitas from June 2012 to May 2015, where they served as the Finance & Business Performance Analyst. George was responsible for the 2015 budget process, which included developing a financial model, implementing a process to gather business intelligence and designing a budget reporting package for the CEO, Senior Management Team and the Board of Directors. George also designed an Executive Dashboard for the CEO, Board of Directors and Advisory Council, that focused on key financial metrics, sales pipeline, tracking product development milestones and talent management statistics.
George started their career with Apollo Global Management Co-Sourcing Program as a Financial Analyst. George led the budgeting and allocation process for Apollo's middle office, representing $14 million in spend and supporting $115 billion in AUM. George also designed and executed the budgeting and reporting process for the Management Company's non-compensation expenses and infrastructure departments, representing $270 million in spend across 16 departments. George was also a member of the Internal Allocation Working Group, which reviewed, validated and documented each expense deemed allocable to the funds.
George Gainer has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Questrom School of Business at Boston University, where they studied finance and strategy & business analysis. George also has a Bachelor of Sciences from Bentley University, and they are certified as a Certified Public Accountant from the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy.
George Gainer reports to John Phinney, Chairman & CEO. They work with John Pethtel - Chief Technology Officer, Vidya Minukuri - Global Head of Data Science, and Eileen Cleary - President, Talent Management.
