Akshay Iyer

Senior Research Engineer, Validations at Convergent Science

Akshay Iyer has a diverse work experience starting with their current position as a Senior Research Engineer at Convergent Science. Akshay previously held the role of Research Engineer at the same company. Before joining Convergent Science, Akshay worked as a Mechanical Engineer at TMC, where they had the opportunity to combine technical work with entrepreneurship. Akshay also served as a Ph.D. Researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology, focusing on the study of premixed flames. Additionally, Akshay worked as a Technical Analyst at DAF Trucks NV, where they conducted engine life estimations and developed MATLAB programs for torque curve generation. Akshay began their career with a summer internship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where they implemented the Stoke's Equations in finite element analysis.

Akshay Iyer has a strong background in mathematics and industrial and applied mathematics. Akshay earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in 2007. Akshay then pursued a Master's Degree in Mathematics from the same institute, which they completed in 2009. Akshay further pursued their Master's Degree in Industrial and Applied Mathematics from Eindhoven University of Technology, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their academic qualifications, Akshay obtained a certification in GT-Power from Gamma Technologies, LLC in April 2016.
