Sameera Wijeyakulasuriya

Sameera Wijeyakulasuriya has a solid background in engineering and research, with a focus on internal combustion engines. Sameera began their career at Michigan State University as a Post Doctoral Research Associate, where they conducted experimental and computational analysis of a novel high-efficient internal combustion engine.

After their time at the university, Sameera joined Convergent Science, where they held various roles. Sameera started as a Research Engineer and then progressed to the position of Senior Research Engineer. In this role, they provided client support and consultancy work, specializing in multidimensional CFD simulations of IC Engines, detailed chemistry modeling of combustion processes, and more.

Their expertise and contributions were recognized, leading to their promotion to the position of Principal Engineer. Sameera excelled in this role for five years before being promoted again to the position of Senior Principal Engineer. Sameera has proven herself to be a dedicated and knowledgeable professional in the field of internal combustion engines.

Sameera Wijeyakulasuriya has a strong educational background in the field of Mechanical Engineering. In 2004, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. In the same time period, they also completed a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. Later on, Sameera went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, graduating in 2011.
