Areg Sargsyan

Areg Sargsyan, MSE, serves as the Head of Research & Analytics at Converse Bank since May 2022 and is a Teaching Associate at Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics, starting in September 2020. In this academic role, Areg has contributed to various economics courses at both the undergraduate and master’s levels. Prior experience includes a position as a Research Economist at Luys Foundation, where Areg conducted economic research pertinent to the Armenian economy and forecasted macroeconomic indicators, and as a Macroeconomist at the Central Bank of Armenia, where Areg developed a Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium model for macroeconomic analysis. Areg holds a Master of Science in Economics from the American University of Armenia and a Bachelor of Actuarial and Financial Mathematics from Yerevan State University, along with several certifications in leadership and nonviolent struggle.
