Kathryn Boucher

Director of Milliken Art Gallery at Converse College

Kathryn Boucher is the Director of the Milliken Art Gallery at Converse College. Kathryn has held this position since January 2017.

Boucher has a long history of working in the arts. Kathryn began their career as a Grant Writer for the Spartanburg Philharmonic in January 2013. In this role, they were responsible for writing grants to fund the Philharmonic's operations. In 2014, they wrote an NEA ArtWorks Grant which resulted in the Philharmonic being awarded $20,000 from the NEA.

In January 2015, Boucher left the Philharmonic to take on a part-time role as Budget Manager for Converse College's School of the Arts. In this role, they were responsible for managing the School's $2.6 million budget.

In addition to their work as Budget Manager, Boucher also served as an Adjunct Professor for Converse College, teaching Introduction to Arts Management and Advanced Arts Management. In this role, they helped develop Converse's Arts Management Minor Program.

Boucher's passion for the arts has led their to a successful career in arts administration. Kathryn is currently using their skills and experience to lead the Milliken Art Gallery at Converse College.

Kathryn Boucher has a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Winthrop University, a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Wofford College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art Theirtory, Criticism and Conservation from Wofford College. Kathryn is certified in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.

Kathryn Boucher reports to Jeffrey Barker, President. Kathryn Boucher works with Jessica Eggimann - Director of Alumni Relations & Advisory Boards, Jamie Grant - Vice President for Enrollment Management, and Dianne Crocker - Vice President for Finance & Business.
