Kathy began her career by earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Soon after, she was elected to the Lowell School Committee and dedicated four years to advancing computer education and desegregation of the Lowell Public School System. In Baldwinsville, New York she was active as a Faith Formation Instructor, managed the McNamara Elementary Afterschool Enrichment Program, served on the Baldwinsville Schools Redistricting Committee, Special Education Committee, and was active in Athletic Booster Clubs of Wrestling, Field Hockey and Crew. After taking time off to raise her children, Kathy returned to the classroom and earned a Master of Science in Higher Education from Syracuse University. She developed a diverse skill set at Syracuse University by working within the Division of Student Affairs, and Office of Residence Life for nine years. She is a compassionate and dynamic student affairs professional who is committed to motivating students to reach their educational and life goals.
In August of 2015, Converse College welcomed Kathy as the Director of Residential Life and Student Conduct. She resides on campus and is visible and accessible to students.
Kathy is the proud mother of Jennifer, a PhD candidate in Chemistry at Duke University, and Sean who earned his Master of Finance from Tulane University. In August 2018, Sean married Melissa in New Hampshire. She is Glam-Ma to two pups, RuBisco and Rye.

Converse was founded in 1889 by citizens of Spartanburg, S.C. who aimed to create an educational experience that enables women “to see clearly, decide wisely, and act justly.” Converse is a creator of opportunity for all academically-qualified students through a personalized education that is combined with the professional and technical skills graduates need to be successful in their careers. Converse pushes beyond traditional boundaries to make a quality educational experience available to every qualified student who seeks it – both at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Effective July 1, 2021 Converse acknowledges its university status under the name Converse University, and in fall 2021 it will welcome its first undergraduate co-educational incoming class.
