Campus Fire Marshal & Emergency Management Coordinator at Converse College

Officer Kyle Crowder has been employed with Converse since 2013. Kyle is a native of Spartanburg and attended Dorman High School. Prior to his start at Converse, he spent five years in Iraq as a Fire Officer, Instructor, and Inspector on various U.S. Department of Defense and Department of State bases.

Kyle is a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician and has more than 20 years of combined emergency services experience (i.e. firefighter, EMT, training officer). Kyle is SC SLED certified as a campus safety officer; Department of Defense, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and Proboard certified for his role as a fire inspector, instructor, and officer.

Additionally, Kyle has participated in training or been certified in the following areas: Rope Rescue Operations, Basic Auto Extrication, IFSAC Hazardous Materials Operations, Emergency Management Institute, and Telecommunication.
