Alberto Garza

Alberto Garza is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in AI, machine learning, and data science. Currently serving as a Staff AI Engineer at Conveyor since October 2025, Alberto leads a cross-disciplinary team to design and operate large-scale AI customer servicing systems. Previously, Alberto held roles at Next Insurance, where contributions included developing AI/ML applications and building foundational engineering infrastructure. Notably, as the founding AI/ML Engineer at Juniper Labs, Alberto played a key role in establishing a core SaaS platform that led to the company's successful acquisition. Additionally, Alberto has a robust background in data science and engineering from leadership roles at Cake Insure, NRG Energy, Whole Foods Market, and previous analytical positions at the Texas Department of Insurance and Transocean. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Harvard Extension School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Math/Economics from Rice University, complemented by a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Harvard Extension School.
