Purpose of the Role:

The IT Operations Engineer will support and enhance IT infrastructure, cloud-based systems, and IT equipment while meeting the technology needs of employees across the organization. Acting as a bridge between IT Infrastructure and Operations teams, this individual will oversee global network, systems, and application deployments, providing seamless support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations for all employees.

What You Get to Do:

  • Own and lead the implementation, maintenance, and support of IT network, end-user services, and SaaS applications.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure systems, including firewalls, servers, switches, and cloud-based systems.
  • Manage business-critical applications and provide high-level IT support to global users and executives.
  • Resolve incidents and requests within established SLAs, serving as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk.
  • Oversee IT hardware and software, including laptops, mobile devices, printers, and A/V equipment.
  • Collaborate with HR on onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Support audit-related tasks and compliance efforts in partnership with Finance and Security teams.
  • Coordinate IT activities across office locations, managing vendor relationships for smooth operations.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to streamline IT processes and enhance productivity.

What You Bring to the Role: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred certifications: MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, Network+, A+, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, IT operations, or systems administration.
  • Strong communication skills with expertise in modern IT technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage IT infrastructure, operations, and service desk activities.
  • Experience with regulated environments (e.g., SOX, GxP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Okta, Azure, Active Directory, MS365, Slack, and Jira Service Desk.
  • Familiarity with network configurations, including VPN and Wi-Fi (e.g., Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, Juniper Mist).
  • Skilled in managing Mac and Windows environments.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Fleet management tools: JAMF, Kandji, Mosyle,MaaS360, or Intune.
  • Endpoint security tools: CrowdStrike, Sophos, SentinelOne.
  • Experience with Okta workflows, Workato, and other automation tools.
  • Atlassian Jira and confluence Administration.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., OKTA, AWS, GCP, Azure, Security+, Jamf).

What Success Looks Like:

  • Provide exceptional onsite and remote end-user support, resolving technical issues across a diverse technology stack.
  • Maintain and optimize IT infrastructure components, including servers, VPNs, and office A/V setups, with a focus on security and efficiency.
  • Lead IT projects, such as system upgrades and new software deployments, driving improvements in technology performance.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure IT solutions align with business needs.

  • This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering seamless IT services and driving technological excellence across a growing organization.

The expected salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $155,000 + equity + benefits. Compensation is determined by numerous factors such as your qualifications, experience, relevant education or training, and work location (*this role is based in Foster City, CA).
