Tracie Spingarn, MA, CI CT has over 25 years of work experience in various roles. Tracie began their career in 1991 as Co-Director at The Riley Center/Brennan House. In 1992, they became a Housing Administrator at The John Stewart Company. From 1994 to 1998, they were a Grants Coordinator at The Tides Foundation. During this same period, they were also an Owner/American Sign Language/English Interpreter at InVision Interpreting. From 1998 to 2004, they were a Staff Interpreter at the State of Connecticut Commission on the Deaf and Hearing Impaired and an Adjunct Instructor at Gallaudet University. From 2003 to 2011, they were a Video-Relay Interpreter at Sorenson Communications/Sorenson VRS and a Corporate Staff Interpreter at Purple Communications. From 2011 to 2012, they were an Interpreter/Call Center Manager/Lead Video Interpreter at Convo Communications. During this time, they also interpreted the Presidential Inaugurations of Barak Obama (2013, 2009) and George W. Bush (2001).

Tracie Spingarn holds a Master of Arts degree from Gallaudet University, obtained in 1998. The degree was in American Sign Language (ASL) - English Interpretation. Prior to this, they obtained a Certificate in American Sign Language from Vista Community College in 1996. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Vermont, obtained in 1990. The degree was in Sociology/Women's Studies/French. In 1998, they obtained a Certificate of Interpretation from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. and a Certificate of Transliteration from the same institution.
