Erin Hamilton Spence

Erin Hamilton Spence is a highly experienced medical professional with a focus on neonatology and clinical education. Since July 2022, Erin has served as the Director of Clinical Education & Professional Development at Prolacta Bioscience. Erin has extensive experience in neonatal care as a neonatologist at Pediatrix Medical Group and Cook Children's Health Care System since 2008. From September 2012 to July 2022, Erin held the position of NICU Assistant Medical Director at Baylor Scott & White Health and contributed as Faculty Co-Chair at NICHQ from November 2012 to January 2017, providing expertise in newborn care, breastfeeding medicine, and hospital quality improvement. Erin earned an MD in Pediatrics and Neonatology from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health and a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch, in addition to a BA in English from the University of Chicago.
