Mazin Abu-Ghazala, FACHE, is the Heart Institute Service Line Director at Cook County Health since September 2022. Previously, Mazin served as Associate Director of the Digestive Health Center at the University of Iowa Health Care and held various leadership roles at UI Health, including Transplant Center Operations and Finance Director, Senior Director of Patient Experience, and Clinic Director of the Neurosciences Center. At Patient Experience Partners, Mazin worked as a Senior Consultant and Coach, focusing on enhancing patient experience cultures in healthcare organizations. Additional experience includes positions at Advocate Health Care, where Mazin directed program development for patient experience and operations in pediatric ambulatory services, and at Montefiore Medical Center, overseeing the Division of General Pediatrics. Mazin founded Digital Society Computer Center, an Apple Authorized center, early in the career. Educational credentials include an MBA from Baruch College and a BA in Economics from Tulane University.
