Ian Shocklee

Ian Shocklee has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Ian started their career as a Volunteer at United Cerebral Palsy Heartland, where they gained experience assisting patients with daily activities. After that, they worked as a Car Wash Manager at Auto Spa, where they honed their communication skills and successfully managed the car wash operations.

Ian then transitioned to a role as a Professional Mover at Renew Transfer, where they delivered high-end furniture to customers' homes and coordinated large-scale moves. During this time, they developed strong customer service skills and learned how to effectively communicate in stressful situations.

Following their time at Renew Transfer, Ian interned at The David J. Joseph Company as an Industrial Group Intern. Ian took on the challenge of coordinating a scrap metal bid, including forecasting additional revenue. This experience provided him with a deeper understanding of the scrap metal industry.

Ian continued to gain experience in finance through an internship at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., where they worked in the Private Client Division. During this internship, they learned about portfolio customization, the art of pitching to potential clients, and wealth management. Ian presented stock pitches to financial advisors, assessed client portfolios, and synthesized portfolio strategies for internal use.

Most recently, Ian joined Cook M&A Advisory Services as a Research Associate. Although they have just started this role in 2022, their past experiences have prepared him for conducting research and contributing to the company's advisory services.

Ian Shocklee attended Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2018 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, General. In January 2021, they earned the certification for Bloomberg Market Concepts from Bloomberg LP. Additionally, in August 2021, they successfully completed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam offered by FINRA.
