Gretchen Gutman

Gretchen Gutman serves as the Vice President of Public Policy at Cook Medical since September 2013, where responsibilities include advancing public policies to support business interests and social responsibility objectives for Cook Group, Incorporated. Prior to this role, Gretchen held the position of Associate Vice President for Government Relations at Ball State University from September 2010 to August 2013, advocating before various legislative bodies. From 2002 to 2010, Gretchen was a Partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, representing clients on legislative matters, and from 1992 to 2001, served as Senate Majority Fiscal Analyst for the State of Indiana, focusing on policy development and fiscal strategy. Early career experience includes a Research Associate role at the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute from 1989 to 1992. Educational qualifications include a JD in Taxation from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and an MPA in Public Administration and Public Finance from Indiana University Bloomington, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from the same institution.
