Emanuele Canestrari's work experience begins in 2011 at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they worked as a Research Scientist. Emanuele'sresearch focused on microRNA biogenesis pathways and their regulation. Emanuele also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, studying the role of estrogen-regulated miRNAs in estrogen receptor (ER) positive breast cancer.
In 2016, Canestrari joined Cook Regentec as a Senior Research Scientist. Emanuele'swork primarily involved the research and development of new technologies and clinical tools for immune cell therapies. Emanuele played a key role in the development of a new pathogen-reduced human platelets lysate product that supported the expansion of human T lymphocytes for immune therapy applications.
Most recently, in 2019, Canestrari joined Cook MyoSite as a Senior Clinical Research Scientist. Emanuele'sresponsibilities include providing leadership and scientific expertise for the development of clinical programs involving the use of autologous muscle derived cells. Emanuele has been involved in clinical study protocol design, data analysis, and preparation of trial documents. Emanuele has also authored clinical study reports and investigator's brochures.
Emanuele Canestrari completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology at the Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo from 1999 to 2005. Emanuele then pursued a PhD in Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the same university from 2005 to 2010.
