Matthew LaRouche has extensive experience in the biotechnology industry. Matthew currently works as a Process Development Scientist II at Cook MyoSite, where they started in February 2023. Prior to this, Matthew worked at Taiga Biotechnologies from June 2020 to October 2022 as a Product Engineer. In this role, they directed the buildout of a GMP pharmaceutical cleanroom, managed cell processing operations, and assisted in the establishment of the company's global cell therapy operations.
Before joining Taiga Biotechnologies, Matthew worked in various roles at the Biomedical Engineering Department of Bucknell University. From August 2016 to May 2020, they served as a Presidential Fellow and Undergraduate Research Assistant, conducting research as a Program for Undergraduate Research grant recipient. At Taiga Biotechnologies, Matthew also worked as a Professional Research Assistant from June 2019 to August 2019, where they focused on advanced immuno-oncology research and development.
Matthew's early experience includes an internship at Taiga Biotechnologies from June 2018 to August 2018, where they conducted research on the use of T-Cells and Hematopoietic Stem Cells to treat cancer and infectious diseases. Their responsibilities included bacterial plasmid induction, large-scale bacterial fermentation, protein purification, tissue culture management, and cryogenic master cell bank management.
Matthew LaRouche completed their Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Bucknell University in 2020. Matthew then pursued a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Colorado State University, which is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
