Selassie Dorvlo

Selassie Dorvlo currently serves as the Technical and Production Director at Cooksongold since August 2016, following a role as Technology Manager at Sandvik Hard Materials from October 2013 to June 2016. Prior to that, Selassie worked as an R&D Engineer at Sandvik in early 2013 and served as a Senior Scientist at Johnson Matthey from June 2010 to December 2012, focusing on the fundamental science of forming technologies. Earlier experience includes a role as Material Scientist, along with academic involvement as a PhD student and project supervisor at the University of Sheffield from August 2005 to August 2009. Selassie holds a Ph.D. and an MEng in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Sheffield, completed in 2009 and 2005 respectively, alongside experience coordinating international student orientations during the university studies.
