Tsubasa (Matsumura) Rai has extensive work experience in finance and investment banking. Starting as a Financial Analyst at MS&AD Insurance Group in 2012, they later joined Sumitomo Mitsui DS Asset Management Co., Ltd. as an Associate before moving to Citi. During their time at Citi, they held various positions in Investment Banking, focusing on advisory services for M&A transactions and financing opportunities for insurance companies and technology firms. In 2023, they worked as the General Manager and Head of Emerging Market Investment at TYPICA, followed by a role as the Director of Finance at Degas. Currently, they serve as the Vice President at Cool Japan Fund, where they continue to leverage their expertise in finance and investments.

Tsubasa (Matsumura) Rai completed a Bachelor's degree in International Relations at The University of Tokyo from 2008 to 2012. They then pursued an MSc in Development Studies with a specialization in Applied Development Economics at The London School of Economics and Political Science from 2021 to 2022. Additionally, Tsubasa obtained various certifications in finance and investment, including the Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA) in 2015 and a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute in 2023.
