Lien Saerens

Global Innovation Project Manager at Cooper Consumer Health

Lien Saerens has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They started their career as an intern at Apotheek Martin in 2008 and later worked as a pharmacist at Lloyds Pharma, Eeklo in 2009. In the same year, they began their PhD studies at Ghent University and completed their research in 2013. They then joined Eurofins CDMO, where they held multiple positions, including Senior Scientist, Pharmaceutical Development Manager, and Principal Scientist. Their tenure at Eurofins CDMO lasted until the present. In 2023, they joined Cooper Consumer Health as a Global Innovation Project Manager.

Lien Saerens completed their education at various institutions. Lien attended Sint Lodewijkscollege from 1998 to 2004, where they studied Science with a focus on Mathematics. Following their time at Sint Lodewijkscollege, they enrolled at Ghent University in 2004 and pursued a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, which they completed in 2009. During their time at Ghent University, they also spent a brief period in 2008 at the University of Helsinki. After obtaining their Master's degree, they continued their academic journey at Ghent University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Lien successfully completed their PhD program in 2013.
