Director Of Vessel Operations at Cooper Marine

Snap Nelson has a diverse work experience primarily in the fields of vessel operations and military service. From 2021, they have been working at Cooper Marine, initially as the Vessel Operations Manager and Designated Person, and later as the Director of Vessel Operations. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2021, they worked at Cooper/T. Smith as a Corporate Management Trainee. In terms of military experience, Snap served in the United States Marine Corps from 2016. They held positions such as Officer Candidate/Student Officer and Officer in Charge for Lima 3/23, Executive Officer for Lima 3/23 (Reserve), and Executive Officer for Bravo, 1/25, UDP West 20.1 (Active Duty). Currently, they hold the role of Company Commander (Reserve) at the United States Marine Corps.

Snap Nelson completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from The University of Alabama from 2009 to 2013. Following that, Snap Nelson pursued a career in the military and received various certifications. In 2016, Snap attended Officer Candidates School at The Basic School, where they studied Military and Strategic Leadership. In 2017, Snap completed The Basic School 2-17 and the Infantry Officer Course 1-18, both also at The Basic School, furthering their knowledge in Military and Strategic Leadership. Snap Nelson also obtained additional certifications, including the Unit Readiness Planning Coordinator from the United States Marine Corps in July 2019 and an Active Secret Clearance SCI from the United States Department of Defense in November 2016. Prior to their university education, Snap Nelson obtained a High School Diploma from Gulf Shores High School in 2009.
