Sander van der Laan

Sander van der Laan is a Senior Data Scientist at Coöperatie VGZ since April 2017, with extensive experience in the field of climate science and data analysis. Previous roles include Data Scientist in Dutch health care and an Atmospheric Composition Scientist at the University of East Anglia from May 2014 to April 2017. Sander has also worked as a Postdoc and Research Fellow at the University of Bern, contributing to climate change research, and as a Postdoc/Research Employee at the University of Groningen, focusing on greenhouse gases. Sander completed a PhD, validating the greenhouse gas balance in the Netherlands based on observational data, and holds an MSc in Environmental Science (cum laude) from the University of Groningen, along with several degrees in engineering from NHL Hogeschool and Friesland College.
