Margaret Miley is an experienced professional in cooperative business development and nonprofit consulting. Currently serving as the Cooperative Business Director at the Cooperative Development Institute since June 2019, Margaret also works as a Consultant, Coach, and Designer in the nonprofit sector. Previously, Margaret held the position of Strategic Advisor at The Midas Collaborative, Inc. and was the Founding Executive Director for 14 years, focusing on asset-building programs for low and moderate-income communities in Massachusetts. Earlier roles include COO at Acre Family Daycare Inc., where oversight of training and economic development programs occurred, and President and General Manager at Valley Home Care, which established a worker-owned cooperative in home healthcare. Additional experience includes economic development direction at Coalition for a Better Acre and community organizing with the North Canal Tenants Association. Educational qualifications include a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MS in Community Economic Development from New Hampshire College.
