Catherine Deterra

Catherine serves as Director of Marketing & Development for CO-OP, responsible for all strategic marketing and development activities. Before joining CO-OP, she held senior leadership roles with People Incorporated, Old Colony YMCA, Family Service Association, Child & Family Services, the New Bedford Chamber of Commerce, and Battleship Cove. Her background includes marketing, public relations, social media, graphic design, fundraising, grant and contract writing, and information technology. She is a veteran of the United States Navy.

Catherine earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services, graduating summa cum laude, and a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Management and Leadership, both from Springfield College. She completed the Executive Fundraising Principles and Techniques certification through the YMCA of the USA/Indiana University Fundraising School and earned a graduate certification in Human Resource Management from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is a proud 2018 graduate of Leadership Southcoast, currently serving on their board.
