Mike Coyne

Mike Coyne has a strong background in finance and leadership. Mike is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurants since October 2018. Prior to this, they held the same position at Potbelly Sandwich Works from May 2015 to September 2018. During their time at Potbelly, they also served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer from July 2017 to December 2017.

Before joining Potbelly, Mike worked at CNA Financial Corporation, where they held the position of Senior Vice President - Small Business from May 2009 to May 2015. Mike also served as the SVP Finance from 2005 to 2009. Prior to CNA, Mike worked at Sears Holdings Management Corporation as the VP and Treasurer from 2004 to 2005. Mike also served as the Vice President Finance at Schering-Plough from 1999 to 2004.

Mike began their career at Sears, Roebuck and Co. in 1993 as the Director of Strategy and Business Development, where they worked until 1999. Prior to that, they worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager from 1985 to 1993.

Mike Coyne has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they obtained from 1981 to 1985. Mike also has an MBA in finance and real estate from the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, earned from 1991 to 1994. Additionally, Mike Coyne served as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 1996 to 1998.
