Jessie Ravage

Head Cross Country Coach at Cooperstown Central School

Jessie Ravage has over twenty years of experience as an independent consultant in historical research and writing. Their work includes conducting historic resources surveys, preparing National Register of Historic Places nominations, and supporting interpretation and exhibits in history museums. They have worked in various settings, including rural, urban, and wilderness areas. In addition to their consulting work, Jessie has also served as the Head Cross Country Coach at Cooperstown Central School since 1992. Prior to that, they worked as an Elizabeth Perkins Fellow at the Old York Historical Society, providing tours and writing entries for a catalog. They also worked as an Administrative Assistant at the National Trust for Historic Preservation and as a Field Archaeologist at the Winchester Archaeology Unit. Jessie began their career as a Conservation/Bindery Assistant at The Library Company of Philadelphia, where they were involved in paper, photographic, and book conservation tasks, as well as exhibit installation.

Jessie Ravage completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program for History Museum Studies from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Bryn Mawr College, where they studied from 1977 to 1981.
