Sarah Spross

Sarah Spross currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools at Cooperstown Central School since March 2021. Prior to this role, Sarah held various positions at the Maryland State Department of Education from July 2005 to March 2021, including Assistant State Superintendent and Branch Chief of the Nonpublic School Approval Branch. Sarah's earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Education at the Board of Child Care from July 1999 to June 2005, and as the Director of Education at Kids 1 from August 1996 to July 1999. Sarah also worked at The Children's Guild as an Assistant Principal and Special Education Teacher from August 1991 to July 1996. Education qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Towson University, achieved between 1992 and 1994, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Teaching from Goucher College, completed in 1991. High school education was completed at Northfield Mount Hermon from 1983 to 1987.
