Jose Luis Torres

Jose Luis Torres is an experienced engineering professional with a solid background in mechanical design and manufacturing within the medical device industry. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer Mechanical Designer at CooperVision since May 2023, Jose has previously held key roles such as Principal Manufacturing Engineer at Boston Scientific, Sr Engineering Spec at Medtronic, and Associate Engineer Supervisor at Stryker. Responsibilities have included providing geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) guidance, supervising technical teams, and leading the design and development of fixtures and machinery for medical device inspection and assembly. Jose began his career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Hubbell Caribe Limited after earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico.
