Carina Hörnfeldt-Bylund

Carina Huerta is currently serving as an Associate Quality Engineer at Medline Industries, LP, since August 2024. Carina has extensive experience in quality engineering and teaching, having worked as a Quality Engineering Intern at Medline Industries during the summer of 2023, where a master part guide for wheelchairs was developed, and over 20 accessories were tested for functionality. While pursuing a degree at the University of Illinois Chicago, Carina held various teaching assistant positions, guiding students in labs related to bioinstrumentation, circuitry, systems engineering, and 3D printing. Carina's background also includes undergraduate research at the Rehabilitation Robotics Lab and a sprint internship at Kavi Global, where a predictive architectural solution for machine failure was developed. Educational qualifications include a degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Trinity High School.
