Nicholas McGuire has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Nicholas started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Albany International in 2001. Nicholas then worked as a Design Engineer at C.H. Babb from 2004 to 2005. McGuire pursued further education and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Graduate Research Assistant, and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Colorado School of Mines from 2006 to 2011. Following this, they worked as a Postdoctoral R&D Scientist at the Idaho National Laboratory in 2011. McGuire then joined Gevo, Inc. as a Chemical Engineer from 2012 to 2015. Moving forward, they worked at BASF, first as a Process Development Engineer from 2015 to 2017, and then as a Senior Process Development Engineer from 2017 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Process Engineer at CoorsTek, Inc. starting from 2022.
Nicholas McGuire earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell between 2000 and 2004. Nicholas then pursued further education, obtaining a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines from 2006 to 2010.
