Armin Zavareh is a dedicated and multifaceted individual currently serving as a Canary CREST Intern at Stanford University School of Medicine, focusing on research related to a targeted anti-cancer vaccine for hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, Armin holds the position of Vice President of Research at Health Insurance For The Unhoused, where leadership involves enhancing the well-being of unhoused communities through research initiatives and advocacy. Armin has also contributed as a Department Coordinator at COPE Health Scholars, supervising volunteers in an emergency department setting, and as a Research Assistant at UC San Diego School of Medicine, specializing in neuromuscular physiology research. Previous experiences include directing presentations at the USC Roski Eye Institute, participating in a physician ultrasound event at MLK Community Healthcare, and gaining insights into medical education and healthcare disparities through various internships. Armin is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at the University of California, Berkeley, and is also enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Biology at the University of Southern California.

COPE Health Scholars, a division of COPE Health Solutions, provides an educational opportunity for individuals interested in making a difference in health care, advancing their careers, and building lifelong relationships and learning through the COPE Connect network. COPE Health Scholars began fifteen years ago with one program: the Clinical Care Extender Program, now known as the Health Scholar Program.
