COPE Health Scholars
Mark Hanin is an accomplished student and leader at the University of California, Riverside, with diverse experiences in student representation and healthcare advocacy. Currently serving as the Vice Chair of Student Voice, Mark conducts delegate selection processes and represents student interests to university officials. As a delegate, direct outreach to peers allows for gathering feedback on important campus issues. Mark is also involved in the UC Riverside School of Medicine's Mini Medical School, focusing on raising awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders, and the Medical Scholars Program, where leadership skills are developed. Additionally, Mark leads independent research on healthcare policies affecting living standards in South Africa and Nigeria while holding the position of University Honors Ambassador, providing mentorship to fellow students. Clinical experience as a COPE Health Scholar at Riverside Community Hospital further complements Mark's dedication to the medical field. Mark's educational journey at UC Riverside culminated in a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2022.

COPE Health Scholars
COPE Health Scholars, a division of COPE Health Solutions, provides an educational opportunity for individuals interested in making a difference in health care, advancing their careers, and building lifelong relationships and learning through the COPE Connect network. COPE Health Scholars began fifteen years ago with one program: the Clinical Care Extender Program, now known as the Health Scholar Program. Over the course of the last fifteen years the program offerings expanded to include the Junior Health Scholar Program for high school students, Licensed Nurse Scholar Program for RN job seekers, Care Coordination Scholar Program for college students and alumni interested in care coordination and International Health Scholar Program for international students interested in the U.S. Healthcare System.
