Benjamin Kahungo

Benjamin Kahungo has over 18 years of experience in the technology industry. From 2002 to 2004, they worked at OCTAGON DATA SYSTEMS LTD as a System Developer and System Analyst. During this time, they designed and developed a Micro Finance solution for the organization. From 2004 to 2016, they worked at Craft Silicon as a Junior Software Developer, Senior Software Engineer, Software Development Team Lead - MFI, Deputy Head of Development, and Head of Development. In this role, they managed the development efforts of a New Version of the Micro Finance Solution (Bankers Realm MFO Ver 2), managed the transition from developing using VB6 to C#, and provided day-to-day leadership of the technology team. Finally, from 2016 to present, they have been working at Copia Global as Vice President of Technology and Head of Engineering. In this role, they have made major strides in the areas of Software developments, Quality Assurance, GDPR compliance, Cyber Security / Resilience, and has developed systems that control costs, increase efficiency and optimize processes by automating repetitive and predictable tasks.

Benjamin Kahungo obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Management Science from the University of Nairobi between 1999 and 2001.
