Peter G. Lawrence

Pete joined Copley in 2019 and currently serves as its General Counsel. Prior to joining Copley, Pete practiced law at several prominent law firms in Chicago, most recently as a partner with Perkins Coie LLP. Pete has over 20 years of experience advising clients regarding complex mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions. In his practice Pete focused on private equity and venture capital transactions, including leveraged buyouts, early-stage investments, growth equity investments and the formation of private equity funds and other pooled investment vehicles. Pete’s experience spans numerous industries and market segments, including manufacturing, technology, health care, education, financial services, consumer retail, energy, mining, forestry, distribution, logistic services, hospitality and lodging.
