Emma Place

Emma Place is a skilled marine biologist with a Bachelor of Science degree from Roger Williams University. Emma currently works as a Conservation Technician for the Coral World Ocean and Reef Initiative, focusing on coral restoration through the maintenance of nurseries and underwater photography. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Student in Dr. Koty Sharp's Microbial Ecology Lab, studying the microbial ecology of Astrangia poculata, and as a Marine Lab Aquarist at Roger Williams University, where general husbandry tasks were performed. Additionally, Emma gained insights into ocean policy as an intern at the New England Aquarium under Dr. Kelly Kryc.
