Janaki Hadida has a diverse background in various roles and industries. Janaki most recently worked as the Partnership Development Lead at Coralus, where they contributed to the global initiative of empowering women and non-binary entrepreneurs. Prior to that, they held positions at Green Living Enterprises as the Director of Development & Client Services and the Director of Engagement & Special Projects. Janaki also founded and co-chaired The Leslieville Farmers' Market, a successful NGO that aimed to enhance the community, promote local and organic food, and support local farmers. Janaki has also worked in the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games Organizing Committee and The Backyard Farm & Market at Erin Mills. Janaki Hadida has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Marketing from McMaster University and a degree in Food Security from Ryerson University. Janaki also has certifications in Food Handler, Emergency First Aid and Level "A" CPR, and WHMIS for Workers in Ontario. In addition, they have completed programs in User Experience Design and Digital Marketing at BrainStation.

Coralus collectively practices different ways of doing things for a better now and a new inheritance. Members offer and access resources at their own pace, creating a self-regenerating pay-it-forward pool of skills, connections, funds, and support then used to advance ventures and the collective doing world changing work. Coralus has circulated nearly $16.5M to 170+ women- and nonbinary-led ventures by distributing capital via collective decision-making. 45% of those founders are from chronically excluded racial and ethnic groups. The payback rate on its unsecured 0% interest loans is 95%. Founded in Canada in 2015, Coralus' current footprint includes the US, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
