Yesenia Piñon possesses a strong background in legal advocacy and support services, currently serving as a Bilingual Legal Advocate at CORA - Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse since June 2020. In this role, Yesenia assists survivors with family court paperwork and provides legal information and referrals both in-person and via a legal information line. Prior to this position, Yesenia interned with Bay Area JusticeCorps, supporting individuals without affordable legal representation in navigating court proceedings. Additional experience includes working as a Peer Advocate at the UC Berkeley Transfer Student Center, facilitating successful transitions for transfer students, and serving as an Office Administrator for a Qualified Medical Evaluator, where responsibilities included managing medical evaluation appointments and reports. Yesenia holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and two Associate of Arts degrees from De Anza College in Liberal Arts and Political Science.
