Sam DiGiovanna has a diverse work experience in the fire and organizational development sectors. Sam started their career in 1994 as a Battalion Chief at the Monrovia Fire Department, where they eventually became the Fire Chief in 2001. In this role, they provided administrative direction, developed policies and procedures, and planned for the department's future.
After their tenure at the Monrovia Fire Department, Sam worked as a Fire Chief and Fire Academy Manager/Administrator at the Verdugo Fire Academy, where they managed operations, budgets, and developed capital improvement plans. Sam also liaised with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
In 2008, Sam became a Chief Consultant at AIG/Chartis Private Client Group/Farmers/Allstate, where they provided wildfire protection consulting services. Sam also held roles as a Fire Services Consultant at Lexipol and as part of the Organizational Development team.
Currently, they serve as the Executive Vice President of Fire Operations at Cordico, a world leader in wellness technology for high-stress professions.
Throughout their career, Sam has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in fire services, and a commitment to protecting life and property.
Sam DiGiovanna attended multiple colleges including Santa Ana College, Mount San Antonio College, and Chaffey College from 1980 to 2001, studying Fire Technology. From 1999 to 2001, Sam also obtained a Graduate degree in Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness from the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Later on, Sam attended Cal State Long Beach from 2001 to 2006 and focused on Human Behavior, Organizational Development, and Executive Coaching. Additionally, Sam holds certifications in Emergency Management from an unspecified institution and the Association for Professional Executive Coaching & Supervision.
