Pervaiz Akhtar

Pervaiz Akhtar has a strong background in corporate affairs and leadership roles. Pervaiz has served as the President of the German-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Certified Director at the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance since 2015. Pervaiz has also held positions as a Director at Star Farm Pakistan Pvt Ltd and Director Corporate Affairs at METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited. Additionally, they have served as a Director at CoRe Alliance, CABI SFPK Joint Venture, and LOTTE Chemical Pakistan Limited. Pervaiz's early career includes a significant role as the General Manager Corporate Affairs & Company Secretary at SHV Energy Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. from 1984 to 2007.

Pervaiz Akhtar completed their education at various institutions. In 1976, they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from F.G Sir Syed College. Pervaiz went on to pursue further education in accountancy and trained at the Institute of Charted Accountants of Pakistan, where they earned a C.A (int) degree between 1977 and 1981. In 1989, they studied Petroleum Management at Arthur D. Little in the USA. In 2005, they completed a Management Development Program at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. Pervaiz'smost recent educational achievement was in 2015 when they obtained a certification as a Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
