Maurice Moloney has an extensive and diverse work experience.

Maurice is currently serving as the Co-Founder and Advisor at Core Biogenesis, a next-generation molecular farming company. At Core Biogenesis, they are involved in utilizing plant seeds as a source of various bioactive molecules.

Prior to that, Maurice was the Founder and Managing Partner of AgritecKnowledge Inc, an international consultancy network for agricultural technologies.

Maurice has also worked as the President of BiotecKnowledge Associates, a consulting company specializing in providing strategic and technical support to biotechnology businesses, with a focus on agricultural biotechnology, recombinant protein production, and product development.

Maurice has served as a Venture Partner at Spruce Capital Partners, LLC and as the Executive Director and CEO of the Global Institute for Food Security.

Maurice held the position of Group Executive for Food, Health, and Life Sciences at CSIRO, Australia's national science agency. In this role, they led the life science R&D portfolio, overseeing plant and animal agriculture, food and nutrition, and biosecurity.

Maurice has also served as the Director and Chief Executive of Rothamsted Research, the world's oldest continually functioning Agricultural Research Institute and the UK's largest center for crop science and sustainable agriculture.

Maurice was the Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of SemBioSys Genetics Inc, where they played a crucial role in the expression and manufacture of recombinant proteins for medicinal and industrial applications using oilseed plants as hosts.

Prior to that, Maurice worked as a Professor and Chair of Biotechnology at the University of Calgary, where they published numerous research papers on plant molecular biology and biotechnology and filed multiple patents.

Maurice began their career as the Head of Cell Biology at Calgene Inc.

From 1971 to 1974, Maurice Moloney attended Imperial College London, where they pursued a B.Sc. ARCS degree in Chemistry. Following this, they enrolled at De Montfort University from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Plant Cellular Biochemistry. Subsequently, from 1979 to 1983, they furthered their studies at the University of Lausanne - UNIL, completing a Post-Doc in Plant Cell Biology.
