Mikal Bøe has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Mikal is the founder and CEO of CORE POWER (UK) Ltd, a product development company specializing in scalable nuclear power technology for ocean transport and heavy industry. Mikal is also an advisory board member for the Nuclear Industry Association and a member of the Offshore Technical Committee at Lloyd's Register. In addition, Mikal Bøe holds the position of Chair of the Maritime Applications Working Group at the World Nuclear Transport Institute. Prior to their current roles, they were the Managing Partner at COLTRANE CAPITAL PARTNERS (UK) LIMITED. Mikal has also served as the Chief Risk Officer at Thoresen Thai Agencies (TTA), Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc., and Freight Investor Services. In their earlier career, Mikal Bøe held the position of Managing Director for Asia and Head of Information Services at Imarex and worked in various roles at CBC Marine - Bunkerworld.com.
Mikal Bøe's education history begins in 1984 when they attended Sevenoaks School, where they pursued an International Baccalaureate degree. After completing this degree in 1986, they went on to pursue their passion for music at the Royal College of Music from 1987 to 1990, focusing on saxophones as their field of study. Later, in 1997, Mikal Bøe joined Aston University to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which they completed in 1999.
