George Hernandez Mejia has a diverse background in disaster response, conservation, and environmental restoration. Currently serving as the Director of Emergency Operations - Domestic at CORE, George has also held leadership roles at organizations such as All Hands and Hearts - Smart Response and California Conservation Corps Foundation. Their experience includes mentoring young adults, coordinating disaster recovery efforts, and leading chainsaw teams in disaster zones.
