Melissa de León

Melissa De León has extensive experience in the field of information technology. Melissa currently holds the position of Senior Vice President - Information Technology at Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. In this role, they oversee business platforms and multiple consulting services, as well as manages IT compliance and risk.

Prior to their current position, Melissa served as a Senior Program Manager at IonX LLC, where they led a digital transformation program in a global insurance company. Melissa was responsible for implementing the Microsoft 365 Productivity Suite to improve global collaboration and teamwork. Melissa also managed the Exchange online migration, implementation of Microsoft 365 products, communication and end user training strategies, and the Laptop Refresh Program.

Before IonX LLC, Melissa worked at Altair Integrated Services as a Business Solution Program Lead. Melissa'sresponsibilities included managing large programs in IT Transformation, operational stability, and business processes. Melissa also played a key role in aligning strategic business goals with IT decisions and coordinating the implementation of Business SharePoint in various regions.

Melissa's earlier experience includes roles at AIG, where they served as the Chief Information Officer for Latin America, Information Officer - Regional Infrastructure Lead for Latin America and the Caribbean, Information Technology Head of Central America and the Caribbean Region, and Operations and IT Head for the Panama office. In these positions, they were responsible for various aspects of IT operations, applications, infrastructure, compliance, security, and disaster recovery. Melissa also played a crucial role in divestiture strategies and modernization efforts.

Melissa De León obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá in the years 1986 to 1991. Melissa then pursued further studies at the Fox School of Business at Temple University from 1996 to 1998, earning a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Information Sciences.
