Austin N. Stowers

Austin N. Stowers, MPH, currently serves as the Director of Legislative Affairs at the Florida Department of Financial Services, a position held since February 2019, where responsibilities include enhancing communication with external stakeholders and managing legislative affairs. Stowers previously held multiple roles at the Florida Department of State, including Budget Director and Legislative Affairs Director, from March 2017 to February 2019, and served as an Executive Assistant at the Florida Department of Health. Early career experiences include a governmental affairs internship with the Florida Dental Association and various coaching positions at Gym Force ATC. Stowers obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information, Communication, and Technology from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of South Florida.
