Costas Bassias

Costas Bassias has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Costas currently holds the position of Principal Engineer at Corelight, Inc., starting in March 2021. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder of PatternEx Inc. from January 2014.

Their previous roles include VPE at Packet Design from June 2006 to December 2013, Platform Director and Site Manager at ARRIS from December 2004 to June 2006, and VPE at Chantry Networks acquired by Siemens from January 2004 to December 2004.

Costas also served as VPE at Lantern Communications acquired by ARRIS from July 2000 to January 2004. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Engineering Manager at Motorola Solutions from 1998 to 2000, and as a Senior Research Engineer at Lockheed Martin from August 1991 to December 1993.

Throughout their career, Costas has been involved in various domains such as enterprise security, network design, and threat assessment.

Costas Bassias received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Artificial Intelligence from Concordia University between 1987 and 1990.
