Joseph Garza has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and cyber security. Joseph most recently worked as the Director of Cyber Security and IT at CoreRecon, where they trained and managed a team of helpdesk professionals and was responsible for creating and updating security protocols. Prior to that, they held the role of Technical PMP at Richline Technical Services from 2012 to 2019. Joseph also served as the Real Time Operations Support Center Manager at Scientific Drilling, where they oversaw well creation and completion processes and provided continuous support through a SharePoint portal. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Systems Administrator/Help desk Coordinator at Camber Corporation and as an Information Technology Manager at the Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse – Coastal Bend. Joseph was also a Systems Administrator at Brazos Higher Education Service Corporation Incorporated and an Information Technology Support Technician at Graduate Loan Services. Throughout their career, Joseph demonstrated expertise in server configuration, network security, and troubleshooting, as well as team management and customer support.
Joseph Garza received their Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Education, Occupational Training and Development from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, graduating in 2008. Joseph then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Business Administration, Organizational Management from Ashford University, completing their studies in 2012. Prior to this, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) in Computer Networking from Del Mar College in 2004. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the CCP-N Netscaler 10 certification from Citrix in January 2014. Before this, they achieved the Citrix Certified Administrator XenApp 6.5 certification in July 2013 and the Citrix Certified Administrator XenDesktop certification in March 2013. Furthermore, they hold the Security+ certification from CompTIA, obtained in January 2011, and the Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician certification from Microsoft, obtained in May 2004.
