Kalpesh Patel

Kalpesh Patel has a significant amount of work experience spanning over two decades. Kalpesh is currently the Director of Data Engineering at CorEvitas, LLC, where they are responsible for defining, designing, and managing a cloud-based, next-generation big data platform. This platform supports business intelligence, analytics, AI/ML-driven predictive and perspective analytics, and the management of clinical data, biostatistics, and pharmacovigilance. Kalpesh also oversees the development of a pharmacovigilance platform for adverse event monitoring and regulatory decision making.

Before their current role, Kalpesh worked at ERT, starting in 2007. Kalpesh held various positions at ERT, including Manager of Clinical Data Services & Analytics, Solution Architect, and Database/Data Warehouse Architect.

Prior to ERT, Kalpesh worked at Talk America Holdings as Lead Database Developer/Architect. Their responsibilities included designing, developing, and managing a migration from Informix to Oracle 10G, as well as migrating various systems related to point of sale, provisioning, fraud detection, billing, and enterprise reporting.

Earlier in their career, Kalpesh worked at SRG/Pfizer as Lead Database Developer, designing and developing the Chemical and Manufacturing Compliance Database System. This system ensured compliance with regulatory agencies and was a FDA CFR 21 part 11 validated system.

Kalpesh also worked at Network Design Tools as a Senior Database Developer/DBA, where they extended the functionality of the Ptolemy Simulation Interface framework by implementing Java-based plotting routines accessible from C++ model components.

Kalpesh's previous roles include Senior Programmer Analyst/DBA at Portal Software Inc and Programmer Analyst at Fiserv.

Kalpesh Patel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Nagpur University from 1990 to 1994. Kalpesh then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2001.
